Wackersdorf

A movie premiere at the filming location is always a very special event. The village Wackersdorf is part of the municipality of Schwandorf, where the movie premiere of “Wackersdorf” was screened. The movie is about demonstrations against the construction of a nuclear reprocessing plant. This topic disturbed a whole region of Bavaria in the 80s. 

The distributor asked EVENTED to transform a normal multipurpose hall into a big cinema auditorium, and so the whole cinema technology was provided. Special attention was paid not only on the projection technology but also on the speech intelligibility, because dialogues are a very important part of the movie. In order to have a clear and not too powerful sound, a sound simulation was developed. Thanks to that simulation it was possible to have a great sound in the whole seating area with up to a depth of 50m.  The concept of Dolby 5.1 was also used here successfully.
